Laura Tian is a second year PhD student supervised by Dr. Nick Rule. She received her BAH from Queen’s University in 2015. Her research primarily focuses on the cognitive mechanisms and downstream consequences of first impressions formed from facial attractiveness, distinctiveness, and group membership cues. Laura is also interested in how people judge individuals working in talent-based and creative domains.
